Star Trades Help Manual

Travel Time
When directing your ship to a Depot, TechCenter, or Spaceport, the time required to get there depends on several factors, the most important being the distance between your ship's starting point and destination. Installing more Engines on your ship at a Spaceport will decrease the travel time for normal travel between Star Systems.

Travel time for Special Missions does not depend on the number of Engines, but will be decreased by having officers trained in Navigation at a TechCenter to use the special clearance for the mission.

Having Scouters installed on your ship will display the travel time needed to a destination before you go there. The more Scouters, the farther away the travel time estimate can be made. Premium accountholders can always see the travel time as if their ships had at least one scouter.
