Cargo Ship Orders - Trade, Missions, Exploration
Once you've purchased and equipped your ship, and have a trained crew ready to pilot it, it's time to put it into service making you rich. Click Cargo Ship Orders to send your Cargo Ship to a Depot, and start buying commodities to trade across the Kentaran Galaxy.

An alternative to trading commodities is taking on special missions with rewards for completing them within a specified time. If a Star System is offering a special mission (announced in the Galactic News), send your ship over to that Depot and accept the mission. Remember that special missions are given to the first ship willing to take them, so it's best to look for ones that are close by. Your ship can also carry cargo during a special mission, but once you accept the mission, the ship leaves immediately. There is a time limit on completing a special mission, and if you do not arrive in the specified time, you do not get any reward.

For each ship at a Star System, you will have a link saying Conduct Business at (the Star System). This will take you to a new screen showing all the business options available at that Star System. You may then buy or sell cargo, buy training or equipment, accept special missions, or whatever else the Star System offers.

Once you've sent your ship out on a trading expedition or special mission, you can also choose to have it explore enroute.

Your cargo ships may also be assigned to Trade Routes that you have established, sent to TechCenters for officer training, or sent to Spaceports for repair or equipment upgrade.

Unwanted cargo can be dumped at any time without cost or income from it.

Pirate Ship Orders - Ransack
Once you've acquired a Pirate Ship, you can start making trouble. Click Pirate Ship Orders on the left navigation bar to direct it towards a Depot. Once it arrives, it'll lurk nearby until cargo ships from a rival company appear.

When rival cargo ships are sighted in the area, you will have the option to ransack the ship for cargo it may be carrying. Ransacking ships may result in a moderate amount of damage to your pirate ship, especially if the victim is equipped with Phasers. If your ship is identified, it may also result in degradation of your legal standing in the Kentaran Galaxy.

Damaged pirate ships may be sent to Spaceports for repair or rename, but cannot have equipment added to them.
