Rival Companies
You aren't the only company trying to make it big in the Kentaran Galaxy. If you find yourself in a situation where action needs to be taken, you can either use Espionage to spy on rival companies, or hire mercenary pirates to cause some trouble.

Espionage

Spying on other companies can be very helpful, when used correctly. Information about another company's status, ships, and cargo can be learned through Espionage, as can be the armada status and membership details of a rival alliance.

To spy on other companies, click Espionage on the left navigation menu. Opportunities to purchase information will come up as spies make themselves available to you. If there are no offers for espionage, check back at a later time. However, if spies have made offers to you, simply select which company or alliance you want to spy on and click Hire Spy.

Spies charge anywhere between 1,000 and 5,000 credits for their services, depending on their opinion of the risk and their expenses to perform the espionage you desire. Once you've made the decision and hired a spy, the amount it cost you will be displayed.

Harassing Rival Companies

If you'd like to make use of the inside information you've just purchased from a spy, or simply want to harass a company, you can hire mercenary pirates to attack them.

To harass a rival company with mercenary pirates, click Covert Operations in the left navigation menu. Under Bribe Pirates, choose which active company you want to harass from the drop-down menu. You can specify the number of attacks you want performed, with each attack costing you 30,000 credits.
