Besides maintaining the health of your own company, you'll have to deal with the competing interests of other companies. If a rival company is edging you out in growth, and could very well bump your company from being immortalized in the Historical Archives, it would be advantageous to take measures against it.

On the other hand, you'll also have to safeguard your own company against other companies, pirates, and financial problems. The three dangers you must protect your company against are Destruction, Dissolution, and Bankruptcy.
