Buying and Selling

To buy or sell commodities, click on Cargo Ship Orders on the left navigation menu and send a Cargo Ship to a Depot. After your ship has arrived, its Cargo Ship Orders screen will show that it has docked, and a link will appear saying Conduct Business at (the Depot name). Clicking this link will take you to the selection of business options that the Depot has to offer.

If the Depot is offering a Special Mission, it will show at the top. Accepting a Special Mission immediately sends your ship out to the destination of the Special Mission, so you should sell or buy any commodities first.

You can buy as much as your cargo pods can carry from what the Depot offers for sale. You can store up to 500 of any commodity in a cargo pod to transport, but you cannot put two different commodities into one cargo pod.

You can sell part of all of any commodity in your cargo pods, provided the Depot trades in that commodity. The price you pay or receive for buying or selling includes a loading dock fee of 0.8% charged by the STA.
