Alliances

Alliances are groups of traders, putting the collective power of their companies together to form a unit. There are many benefits to joining an alliance, as banding your efforts together with others is more effective than going it alone.

Alliances provide a forum for discussion of trading problems and advice, or just comradarie among fellow traders. To see your alliance forum, click the Alliance Forum link on the left menu.

Alliances can maintain an Alliance Armada to patrol against pirates, protect alliance members' ships, or directly target a notorious pirate ship. Alliance armadas are built by the cooperation and donations of alliance members.

Each alliance is controlled by an Alliance Leader, who decides which companies are allowed as members, assigns an Armada Commander, an Information Officer to moderate the alliance forum, and otherwise manages the alliance. When an Alliance Leader leaves the game, whether by Destruction, Dissolution, Bankruptcy, or Retirement, the alliance is disbanded and deleted entirely, members are left allianceless, and the alliance armada disbands.
